Think about how different sites work before deciding to join a site.sites will allow only a defined community of users to access posted content; others allow anyone and everyone to view postings.

Keep control over the information you post. You don't want to post a picture about you. You need to make sure that your screen name doesn't say to much about yourself. Don't give away your phone numbers, full name, home address, social security, passwords, name of family members,or credit card numbers to people you don't know!

The key to Internet safety is to be you and be true, and never trust chat rooms. The valuable lesson is some people protray themselves to be some thing there not.So if someone ask you for your information online let it be a red flag.

People might ask you for personal information online. They might ask for phone numbers, email addresses, or home addresses. These are usually used to fill answering machines, and mailboxes.

Before you go online, there are a few things you need to keep in mind for your own saftey reasons. First, Never give out personal information or agree to meet anyone you meet online in person. Do not tell strangers your name, or gender. And Always keep complete control over the information you post online. If you feel uncomfortable doing something in person, do not do it online, and the same goes for others, so if someone is bullying you or saying something inappropriate quit communications with them immediately. Possibly the most important, do not bully, harass, or threaten anyone online-keep good online citizenship and responsibility for your actions.

The main thing is to never share your personal information. If you are creating an account on Facebook then block your personal information ,and don't friend anyone you don't know even if your friend knows them. Have a parent alongside you when creating an account on a social network. Ask a friend if they have this type of an account and see what they say about it. If you are being stalked, contact a trustworthy adult.

Students should not cyberstalk. When students cyberstalk, they stalk over Facebook, text, and the internet in general! When they do stalk they try to threaten, scare and humiliate the person. The impact it has on the person is very harsh. The victim can have depression, fear, anxiety, stress, and they can even start use alcohol and drugs to calm themselves down.

-Your real name
-Your address
-The name of your band
-Where you go to school
-Gender etc...
Here's some things to remember and think about.

Always remain anonymous. Never give your full name, address, phone number, social security number, name of family members, passwords or credit card numbers. Those things are always private. Usually people who ask for your personal information will fill your voice mail and mail boxes with advertisments. Also those people may use this information to begin illegal or indecent relationships to harm you or your family's well being. A lot of credible people and companies will never ask for that type of personal information. If they do that's a warning that they might be up to no good. Also never use your real name or something related to your personal information as a username in chat rooms. If you do all these things you will have safe surfing.

Affects of cyberstalking can be stress, anxiety vulnerability, depression, nervousness, and hypervigilance. If you are being cyber stalked, then contact the police.

Chatt rooms are very bad news. Users can remain anonymous , as well as they often attract people interested in more than just chatting. Often these users ask visitors information pertaining to themselves , their families , or their location is. To avoid these situations, use a nick name such as coolio123.

Internet safety is very Important. It is very important that you do not give any personal information that can be used to harm you. Another thing is to make sure you are posting something that you would be ok if everybody saw it. If you're not, then you shouldn't post it. Also, you should not meet with someone that you talked to over the Internet. They could be an older person or someone that could hurt you. Internet safety is very important and should be taken seriously.

The Internet is a fun and interesting place, but there are precautions you have to take. It is so important to not share any personal information like your full name, you birthdate, or a team name. Anything about yourself can be used to track you down. Also don't post a picture of yourself think about if it would be a picture that your mother would put in your living room. Think very carefully about what you post it never ever goes away. You might might regret what you posted. Think about how the site works if it shows everybody anywhere or strictly very private. Finally be careful of who you friend because they are really not your friends.

Think about keeping some control over the information you post . Consider restricting access to your page to a select group of people , for example , your friends from school ,your club, your team , your community groups , or your family.....Always remember you can't erase what you post online.....
